What data we process
This is a static website: it uses no profiling cookies and no tracking tools. When you contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email, the details you give us (name, contact, message) are used only to answer you and manage your booking.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc.). To deliver the pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and some technical connection data, as any hosting provider does. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The Google Maps map is embedded at the bottom of «Where we are» and loads on its own, without asking you, as soon as you scroll down to it: from that moment Google receives your IP address and may read and write cookies on your device. What Google does with them is governed by Google's privacy policy. We neither receive nor use that data. To avoid it entirely, block third-party cookies in your browser or do not open that page.
Typefaces are hosted on this site: they are not requested from Google Fonts.
The weather shown on the site comes from Open-Meteo (OpenMeteo GmbH, Switzerland). The request leaves your browser a few seconds after the page opens, so Open-Meteo receives your IP address; it uses no cookies and does no user tracking, and keeps the address only for technical reasons. Weather data is distributed under a CC BY 4.0 licence. Switzerland is recognised by the European Commission as providing an adequate level of data protection.
To know how many people visit the site and which pages they read we use Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.). It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and takes no browser fingerprint: there is no identifier following you from page to page or from one visit to the next, which is why you are not asked for consent. Cloudflare receives the address of the page you open, the page or search engine you came from, your browser and device type, and your IP address, from which it derives your country only. We see aggregate counts: no data about any individual person. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Why we may process your data, and on what legal basis
If you write to us to book or to ask something, we process your details to answer you and to arrange the booking: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures you have asked for (art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
The technical data that hosting, the map and the weather service necessarily process in order to deliver the page rests on our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics rest on our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works and which pages are actually useful (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You are not asked for consent because the tool neither stores nor reads anything on your device and cannot identify you; you may object all the same by writing to us.
Giving us your data is never compulsory. But without a contact detail we cannot answer you or confirm a booking: that is the only consequence.
How long we keep it
Messages and booking details are kept for the time needed to answer and to manage the booking, and in any case no longer than 12 months from our last exchange, except where a longer period is required by tax or accounting law (10 years) or to defend a legal claim. This website keeps no database of visitors: technical logs are held by the providers named above, under their own policies.
Visit counts stay with Cloudflare in aggregate form, for the retention periods set by that service; they cannot be traced back to a person and we keep no copy of them.
Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC are established in the United States. Both are certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as ensuring an adequate level of protection (decision of 10 July 2023). Open-Meteo is in Switzerland, also covered by an adequacy decision.
No automated decisions
We take no decisions about you by automated means, and we do no profiling (art. 22 GDPR).
Your rights
You may at any time ask for access to your data, and for its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or portability; you may also object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, without affecting what was lawful beforehand. Write to lanina18le@gmail.com. We answer within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the authority of the country where you live.
